StoryTelling
With 3+ photographers live-sending photos on the pitch during an FC Cincinnati match, it’s my job to select and deliver images that tell the most compelling narrative and align with our brand’s identity to turn casual viewers into loyal, raving fans.
Metadata
I cull, sort, caption, and add keywords, copyright information, and other crucial metadata to images via Photo Mechanic and Caption Pro before editing them in Adobe Lightroom and uploading them to PhotoShelter in real time during matches and on non-match days to archive FC Cincinnati’s history and make sure all assets are easily searchable for everyone.
Deliverables
I sort and deliver edited images to PhotoShelter and Socialie for our players, staff and stakeholders to have by the final whistle after a match. All photos are delivered to players, agents and stakeholders less than two hours after a match is over.
Live Editing
I’ve implemented a streamlined approach to live photo editing and digital asset management on match days. I’ve cut FC Cincinnati’s asset delivery time to internal stakeholders and players during the match from over 10 minutes to an average of 3 minutes.
Curation
I collect our top photos of the match from up to six photographers to display in a match gallery via Forge, a CMS platform, and tell the story of FC Cincinnati’s match day from start to finish. I also gather our best photos during the course of the season to print and display throughout the stadium and training center, replacing older ones with updated kits and players each year.
Taxonomy
I’ve created an organized database with a hierarchical classification system to organize assets within PhotoShelter to showcase the history of our club and make it easy for internal stakeholders to find the assets they need using appropriate metadata and common keywords across the organization.
